Muruku is a savoury, crunchy snack originating from the Indian subcontinent, notably popular in the Indian states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala cuisine and Sri Lanka. The snack’s name derives from the Tamil word for “twisted”, which refers to its shape. We at Muruku2U, have varieties of packaging as per customer request.

Kuih Rose or Achu Muruku

“Kuih Loyang” or also known as roses, creamy durian cake cookies and jewels are a type of Indian tradition cake made from rice flour fried in cooking oil.

This cake comes from traditional cakes originating from India, especially southern India (Tamil Nadu and Kerala), where the cake is known as ‘Achu Murukku’ or ‘Achappam’, it is also sweet.

In Malaysia, this cake is named “Kuih Goyang” because after its mold is dipped in a liquid flour mixture, this cake is dipped in hot oil and shaken to date. The name of the ros in conjunction with the shape resembles the flowers. The brass name may be because the mold is made of brass metal.

Mixer or Omampodi

Omampodi or mixer, is very famous in malaysia and people love to have it has a snack during any festival, Deepavali, Hari Raya, or other festivals. In a multi cultural country, Omampodi have a strong taste of curry leaf which is the key of its taste. These inch-long millipede-sized crisps boast a distinctive curry leaf aroma and flavour. Shaped with a ragged edge, they are characterised by the sight and aroma of fragrant cumin seeds dotting its surface.


“Kuih denderam” is well known in the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Thus,is a kind of delicious sweet pastry, and this curd is inspired by the southern Indian cakes but has become popular among the Malaysian community. In India it is known as Adhirasam and uses black pepper as one of its ingredients.

Adhirasam is a type of Indian sweet from Tamil cuisine. The doughnut like pastry has a long history of popularity in Tamil civilization. They are similar in shape to vadai, but are not savoury and are eaten as a dessert.


Laddu or laddoo are sphere-shaped sweets originated in the Indian subcontinent. Laddus are made of flour, Ghee/butter/oil and sugar with other ingredients that vary by recipe like chopped nuts or dried raisins.They are often served at festive or religious occasions.

Pakora, also called pakoda, pakodi, fakkura, bhajiya, bhajji or ponako, is a fried snack. Originating from the Indian subcontinent, it is a popular snack across the Indian subcontinent, especially in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal. We at Muruku2U provide delicious kinds of pakoda which is very tasty and wanting more.
